Texas continues to be America’s largest oil and natural gas producing state with over 1.7 million barrels of oil and 17 billion cubic feet of natural gas being produced each day. Texas maintains its status as a pioneer of the energy industry, introducing and utilizing technologies that have dramatically changed and improved how America discovers and recovers its oil and natural gas. The horizons Sethi Petroleum currently explores in Texas are the Austin Chalk formation in the southeast and Mississippian formations in the west. Sethi Petroleum began its exploration efforts in Texas and we continue to actively participate in drilling projects with select operators.

The North Dakota oil boom represents tremendous progress in America’s quest for energy independence. North Dakota is currently the second largest oil-producing state in the nation with over 9,600 wells producing more than 931,000 barrels of oil per day as of Sept 2013. Horizontal drilling activity continues to escalate in the northwestern counties of North Dakota, pushing Bakken Shale production and reserves to record highs. Impressive production results and the high level of drilling activity are the reasons Sethi Petroleum has chosen to explore for oil and natural gas in North Dakota.
